Q + A

What is the dress code?

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best formal cocktail attire. Please no jeans/denim and avoid shades of white. See below some reference pics!

Can I bring a +1?

We're keeping our celebration small and intimate, so we're only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we kindly ask that our celebration be an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" or weekend getaway for yourself!

Where do I park for the reception?

The closest & cheapest parking option is valet parking at the Marriott hotel. See map below

Whether you're driving or being dropped off, there will be clear signage and friendly staff available to guide you to the group inside the hotel, where everyone will gather at the bar. From there, as indicated on the map, we’ll take a short walk to the docks to board the yacht.

How long is the yacht cruise?

The yacht cruise will be around 4 hours, starting at 8:00 PM, and we'll be back at the dock by 12:30AM.

Will there be a dress code for the yacht, especially since it might be windy or cool?

During late May, Miami is quite warm, so there’s no need for coats or heavy clothing. The yacht is fully indoors, but for those who wish to enjoy the fresh air, there is a small terrace and other outdoor areas available.

Will the yacht be docked or moving during the reception?

The yacht won’t be docked. We’ll set sail shortly after everyone boards. We'll cruise along the Biscayne Bay and along the coast, taking in the sights while we celebrate.

Are there restrooms on board?

Yes! The yacht is equipped with men’s and women’s restrooms, along with other amenities to ensure your comfort throughout the evening.

Should I be worried about seasickness? Will the yacht be moving a lot?

The yacht will be moving slowly and we’ll be cruising in calm, shallow waters close to the city’s coast. It’s a very smooth ride, so seasickness shouldn't be an issue. For those who are still concerned, it has been recommended to avoid mixing Dramamine or Bonine with alcohol. A natural, anti-nausea recommendation to combat seasickness is a wristband like this: https://www.amazon.com/Sea-Band-Wristband-Anti-Nausea-Acupressure-Sickness/dp/B001F731N0?th=1
